I’m generally a little-to-none makeup person. I stay at home most of the time, and frankly, I don’t have all the time it takes to put on a full face. In recent years I have become a fan of mineral makeup and I am learning the difference between the good-quality stuff and the stuff that’s the same stuff you’ve been buying, just packaged differently and maybe with some “minerals” added.
I was really excited to try out Alima Pure mineral makeup, because it’s made in Portland, Oregon; it’s 100% mineral makeup, and its purpose is not to cover up your face, but to bring out its natural beauty. Before I was sent these products to review, I was asked for my eye color, skin tone and other physical characteristics of my face and skin so they could pick out the perfect color combination for me.
I received a package with colors I first thought might be too bland and not stand out quite enough. But then I remembered the purpose of this makeup is to bring out your natural beauty! I was also nervous to try out the bronzer, since bronzers typically give me a dark or fake-tan look that totally clashes with my ivory skin tone.
Keep in mind that you’ll definitely need a good brush or brush set for this makeup. Alima Pure sells their own, or you can go out and get some quality brushes elsewhere.
Let’s see if my concerns were alleviated. Here’s me before:
And here’s the after:
I’ve done no photo editing on any of these pics. The only products I used in addition to the ones given to me were an eyeshadow primer and a mascara. Other than that, it’s Alima Pure.
I love this makeup. I love how light it feels. I love that the bronzer isn’t too much, and that neither are any of the other items. It makes for a great everyday look that’s perfect and is extremely easy to apply.
