Tomorrow is a very busy day for most of us. If you haven’t voted yet, I urge you to wake up early, stand in line, talk with your friends. Meet the nice volunteer ladies. Proudly wear your “I voted” sticker and head to Starbucks or Krispy Kreme and all the other places that will feed you for free.
Me? I’ll be working a very late night, doing my job, talking to people and anxiously watching the news and waiting as the national and local results come in.
I watched this video – released by the Obama campaign yesterday – and it gave me inspiration.
And then I read this from the comments, from a lady named heartmysharpeis:
“I’m a 50+ white female that has never voted Democrat in my life. I urge every young person to get out & vote for Obama, Stats show that young people talk but don’t vote. Get homework done, go to bed early, whatever you have to do so you can stand in line for a few hours to vote. The weather is supposed to be bad in many areas of the country and stats show that democrats are least likely to vote in inclement weather. Volunteer to hand out water, donuts & candy. Do whatever it takes.”
Do whatever it takes. Get some sleep tonight. Tomorrow, let’s go change the world.
