It’s Labor Day, I was bored and the dog chewed up yet more of his stuffed toys so I decided to wipe the dust off my crafting and upcycling supplies and I made this, which will debut as Sebastian’s new squeaky toy tomorrow.
Here she is. I’m not sure what she is. I say it’s a she because her buttons are decorative and she has a lavender mouth that I made by gluing part of a cotton drawstring to this poly-and-squeaker-filled sock.
I drew some inspiration from pics from Stupid Sock Creatures: Making Quirky, Lovable Figures from Cast-off Socks. I think more of the book involves sewing, and after trying to get these buttons on I prefer much to be a gluing kinda gal. Anyway, I showed a preview of it to Sebastian, who immediately jumped up and down and went into a frenzy. We’ll see how far this goes.
