Have you tried the Stoli Lemonade yet? It’s the must-have drink of the season, according to Stoli Vodka. This summer, to celebrate what they’re calling 100 Days to Squeeze, Stoli is headed out in a Limo-nade truck for 300 managed bar nights in 12 cities across the country! There, you’ll get to try out Stoli Lemonade cocktails, try out some refreshing Lemonade ice pops, and you can even take part in fun challenges to win Stoli prizes!

 photo Stoli_600360_4_zps6e422e83.jpg

Cities on the tour include Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, New York and New Jersey.

Even if it isn’t coming to a bar near you, you can still participate in 100 Days to Squeeze right at your home. You can make your own Stoli Lemonade with the help of special Value Added Packs from Stoli that include a 750ml of Stoli vodka, a glass mason jar and a lemon squeezer to make it easy to serve your own cocktails this summer.

And here’s the recipe!

- 2 parts Stolichnaya® Vodka

- 4 parts lemonade

- Build in an ice-filled Mason jar or highball glass and stir. Garnish with lemon wheels.

The smooth grain taste of Stoli pairs perfectly with the tart and sweet notes of a crisp, cold lemonade. You can make it with either Stoli Premium Vodka, or one of the Stoli flavors for an added twist.

Squeeze the most out of summer and head to Thrillist or Join Stoli on Facebook to find out more about 100 Days to Squeeze! You can also Follow Stoli on Twitter for details on the #StoliLemonade trucks. Share your summer moments using #StoliLemonade on Twitter and Instagram.

When do you look forward to having some fun in the sun with a Stoli Lemonade in hand?

I received product from Cottonelle and Crowdtap for this post.

Cottonelle Clean Care Flushable Wipes are now available in travel-sized packages, so you know what this means: No matter where you go out in public, you can be assured that you get some fresh care back there. It’s your duty to please that booty.

I know that some of you out there will find this appalling, but come on, let’s be honest: You have found yourself in a public place, you’ve just had a bunch of really delicious Indian food, and nature is making a very unwanted call. And you know what it’s like to use public toilet paper. It doesn’t work. So then what do you do? You try your best with that scratchy TP to prevent skidmarks, and you also hope that no one else is in the bathroom to listen to you relieving yourself. Admit it, you’ve been there!

Cottonelle sent me a few packs of their flushable wipes to try out and hand off to a couple of friends, so what’s a gal to do? Well, send friends off to public restrooms to show off their new-found confidence now that they can use the loo to its full capacity and exit feeling clean and confident.

Here I am at the b0wling alley. Take that, chili dogs! You are no match for the Cottonelle!

2014-07-05 11.28.18

You would not believe how many of my friends were just aghast that I would dare take a photo of myself on the can. Well, if I don’t, who will? My friends Jenny and Richard, that’s who.

Jenny took this at a department store bathroom shortly after we met for some delicious Mexican food. Look how self-assured he is.

IMG_2898

And Richard took this after enjoying a delicious and filling meal of family-style fried chicken, bean soup, cornbread and other fixins. BE PREPARED. Because, like the Internet, public restroom hygiene is serious business.

20140720_181448

Look for these on the shelves. Carry ‘em in your purse, in your back pocket, heck, make a lanyard out of them and hang them proudly around your neck. Let everyone know you have no shame in admitting that you are ready for anything that comes at you. Or out of you.

Miranda Lambert is headed across the country this summer with the Platinum Tour, sponsored by one of my kitchen staples, and new favorites for party drinks, Crystal Light! Last weekend I had the amazing opportunity to see Miranda perform and do some experimentation with my favorite low-calorie drink mix. So read on about my experience seeing Miranda, as well as the recipe for my Miranda-inspired Crystal Light mocktail, the Platinum Pineapple!

Miranda is just adorable and has the music to match. It was so much fun to get this photo with her before she performed at the Walmart AMP in Rogers, Arkansas July 12.

McpwaamsWqN6xG9t9dHAUmGFdYr_eK_Qt

If you haven’t checked out Miranda’s music, I highly recommend it. I don’t consider myself much of a New Country fan, but I love that she is a storyteller above all. She knows about all the things women know about – heartbreak, having the need to get out with the girls, and self-pampering.

Miranda’s show at the AMP was phenomenal. The sound was excellent, and she really does put on a great stage performance. Even those of you in the nosebleed section will get to see Miranda on one of three screens she has on the stage.

20140712_212846

The stage show was amazing, frequently changing colors to match the mood of the music.

20140712_213111

Her voice is great, and you will hear all your favorites from her: From “Mama’s Broken Heart” to “Over You” to “Automatic” and More.

Here’s a photo of Miranda singing the title track from her new album, “Platinum,” which inspired me to make the drink you’re going to see in a little bit.

20140712_213453

Now, Crystal Light really is a special drink to me. It’s not just something I grew up with – it really has helped me in my weight-loss journey. Losing 50 pounds isn’t easy, let me tell you. But I did it – and a big part of it was giving up things like juices and sugary sodas for low calorie drinks like Crystal Light. I love that CL even has a line of syrup for my soda maker. But without further ado, let’s get on with this Platinum Pineapple.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Club soda
Pineapple tidbits
Crystal Light Liquid – Tropical Coconut
Crystal Light Liquid – Blueberry Raspberry
One lime

First, line the bottom of your chosen cocktail glass with pineapple tidbits. Then, add a squeeze of each of your Crystal Light Flavors. (Note: The Tropical Coconut is mandatory if you want the pineapple flavor, but you can choose the Blueberry-Raspberry or any other of Crystal Light’s many varieties. Maybe even Miranda’s favorite – Strawberry Lemonade.)crystallight

Add club soda, stir up your drink, and then you’re ready to add ice and the juice of half a lime.

Crystallight2

And there you have it! Now, if I were really fancy, I would have poured this into a hollowed-out pineapple, but let’s be honest – those things are only pretty on tables, and not in your hands.

You can also add more Crystal Light to taste, add a little pineapple juice, or use lemon-lime soda instead of club soda. But this drink is DELICIOUS and Crystal Light makes a great alternative to drink mixes that are expensive in cost and calories! And the best thing about it is that when you’re done with it, you’ve got all these Crystal Light-soaked pineapples at the bottom of your glass. And we all know that any drink with fruit at the bottom is pretty much awesome.

And now, #PlatinumPoints!!!  The Platinum Points program will be live in September at walmart.com / earnplatinumpoints.com. You will be able to purchase Crystal Light products to earn free Miranda Lambert merchandise! You can also earn bonus points by purchasing her new Platinum CD. This is just another reason why Low Calories Rock!

Check out Miranda Lambert on Tour to see her rock the stage and share her new signature drink, the Randarita!

This is a sponsored post for Warby Parker. This post includes affiliate links, and I will make a commission if you make a purchase after clicking them.

Warby Parker does a lot more than just selling eyewear and letting its customers try it on at home for a few days. For every pair sold, a pair is distributed to someone in need. Consider it like TOM’s for eyeglasses.

As someone who has had poor eyesight for most of her life, I cannot imagine what it must be to be unable to have eyewear. There are parts of the world where too many cannot afford eyeglasses. But thanks to customers, Warby Parker announced on June 25 that they had reached One million pairs distributed. Check out this short and beautiful video.

Truly amazing. But I’m here to talk about another of Warby Parker’s benefits: The Warby Parker Home Try-On Program.

20140705_130645

This is unlike any other online prescription eyeglasses service I’ve seen. You get to choose five frames from the Warby Parker collection, Warby Parker will ship those frames to you with a return shipping label, and gives you five days to try them on. You can show visitors, take selfies and share them on your social networks with the hashtag #WarbyHomeTryOn, and get feedback from your friends and from Warby Parker Customer Service. Here’s my experience.

Let’s check out what I call the Ingrid Michaelson Glasses. They’re actually called the Marshall in Rum Cherry.

IMG_20140709_143611

I know big glasses are apparently the thing again, but these just seemed too enormous. and they made me want to put on my hipstery knit cap from college.

But alas, I did find a pair of big frames that I liked. Check out the Lyle in Plum Marblewood.

IMG_20140709_144147

Was it the frames, or the face I made? I’m going with the frames. I think they’re a lot of fun, even for being so big and round (I’m typically a fan of the rectangular frames).

On we go to the Sexy Librarian glasses (real name Sibley in Catalina Blue.

IMG_20140709_145200

When I posted this image on Facebook, my friends were all “I love these the best!” And then I showed them the face-forward angle.

FB_IMG_1404940384875

Suddenly, these were not a face favorite.

And now, I try on – yet again – cat eyeglasses. I cannot wear cat-eyes. Some people can wear them and totally rock ‘em. When I put them on, I look like the mean Mom from pretty much every 1980′s music video you’ve ever seen. These are the Holcomb in Marbled Sandstone.

IMG_20140709_145757

And now the final pair – it’s an old standby, but I think it goes nicely with my face. It’s also a different color from the red frames I’ve worn as a signature item for nearly ten years.  These are the Nedwin in Summer Green.

IMG_20140709_150436

They’re a bit more round than I’m used to, but I still loved them, and they are great for summer!

Glasses typically start at around $90, but keep in mind that you are getting a pair for someone who needs one as well. With the cost of designer frames in the hundreds, I am amazed at how they manage to distribute these glasses across the globe and still keep production costs balanced.

Tomorrow, I’m putting the return shipping label on this Try-On box and taking it to my nearest post office so that someone else can try them on. Maybe you?

If you’re an online publisher and would like to promote the Home Try-On yourself, Join the Warby Parker affiliate program and you can earn $20 just for experiencing and writing about the Warby Parker Try-On Program!

Crowdtap provided me with a sample for this review as a member of the Kleenex Brand Believers. All opinions are 100% mine.

Yes, we have new Travel Kleenex. It’s new, it’s hip, it’s different. How different? Let’s do a side-by-side comparison of this new product against its older sibling. I was fortunate to dig through one of my makeup bags to find this old travel pack of Kleenex, circa 2007. It’s the package type most of you have known for decades. So glad I could compare the two!

1. Packaging

As you can see, the packaging of the two is quite different. The designs are much more vibrant. But also, the material of the new Travel Kleenex packaging is a bit thicker than the thin plastic used to house the old travel-sized Kleenex. In addition, whereas the old package opened up like an envelope with a sticker for a seal, the new package opens up like a wallet.

20140708_1057341

This new design seems to keep the tissues protected, whereas the old envelope design left the tissues exposed to the various elements of your purse, makeup bag, glove compartment, etc. Unlike the old packaging, which could only be kept adhered with a sticker, the new one has reusable adhesive on the edges of the inside packaging (right and left from this angle).

20140708_105937

When you close the old package, you can clearly see that the sticker has obviously moved and has some debris on it. When you close the new package, it is reminiscent of a magnetic wallet and is very nice and neat.

Size, number and thickness of tissues

There is no change to the size of the tissues; the new packaging retains tissues that are 8.4″x8.4″ in.

20140708_110115

Here’s something that may concern you: The old package came with 15 tissues, whereas the new Travel Kleenex package comes with 10 tissues. However, it’s extremely important to note that the old package had two-ply tissues and the new one has three-ply, so you are actually getting the same amount of tissue you had before.

20140708_110751

That extra ply makes ALL the difference. I was never really a fan of the old travel Kleenex because it seemed extremely scratchy. I have a very sensitive nose and allergies to boot, so it’s important that I’m blowing my nose with something soft. These are very noticeably much softer.

So, all in all, I say the new Travel Kleenex is a VAST improvement over its predecessor. I’ll have to keep testing it out in real life, but from the looks of it, I think it will be a pretty good experience.

As summertime begins and families head to the beach, the park, the mountains and other favorite spots in the great outdoors, it’s a good time to remember there are easy ways to celebrate our love of Mother Nature by throwing a green party.

Step 1: Location, Location, Location

Pick a picnic spot you can walk, bike or boat to or arrive by public transit. If that’s not possible, carpool with friends.

Step 2: Choose an Eco-friendly Invitations

Whether throwing a baby shower, a beach partybirthday picnic or backyard BBQ, you’ve got to let your guests know about the green fun you’re planning in eco-friendly style! If it’s a neighborhood party, print invites on recycled paper and personally hand them to guests. Or use electronic invitations, which are convenient and don’t waste paper.

Step 3: Green Menu Planning

Great produce makes the chef’s job super easy. Think simple. Finger foods like cut fruit, nuts, local honey and peanut butter sandwiches are simple and nourishing for all ages. Also, some cheeses, like brie and camembert, are lovely softened in the sun over fresh-baked bread.

Farmer’s markets have the freshest and tastiest fruits and vegetables available from the area. Organic products are hormone and pesticide-free, making them safe to eat.

Make your own beverage and serve it in a plastic-free pitcher. That way you don’t have to deal with all the cans and bottles.

Step 4: Waste-Free Dinnerware

Say goodbye to throw-aways and plastics. Ask picnickers to BYO dishes, water bottles, utensils, etc. This can be done tastefully if you explain you’re hosting a zero-waste party and need some help to accomplish this.

If that’s not your style, pack a sturdy cardboard box with reusable items to share with your invitees, such as non breakable stainless steel picnic plates, reusable bamboo utensils, reusable straws, washable cotton napkins and sturdy mason jars for use as cups.

Sure you may have to do some washing, but much of this stuff will naturally decompose. Plus, you’re saving money by going waste free.

Step 5: Showcase Mother Nature

Nature’s beauty is inspiring when it comes to setting the table in eco-style. Leaves, flowers, pinecones, twigs, seashells and other natural treasures can be showcased on your eco-friendly BBQ or green a beach party blanket.

Step 6: Clean up!

Clearly mark bins for recycling, compost and waste for your guests. Since most public parks don’t separate waste and your efforts will end up in the trash, toss your separated bags into the trunk to put out with your trash pickup at home.

I am excited to have my first giveaway in nearly a YEAR – and trust me, it’s a good one from IdealShape, LLC! Check out my review of these DELICIOUSLY AWESOME, healthy and filling products and then enter for a chance to win some for yourself!20140617_113652

First, let’s talk about me – I’ve worked very hard to at the very least maintain a weight loss of 50 pounds that I’m proud to have had in the past year. I use MyFitnessPal to track my calories and my exercise, and I am very conscious about what I put into my body. It’s important to me to have foods that give me the most bang for the buck, so to speak – taste good, low calorie, and filling.

Now, let’s talk about IdealShake. The mix comes in a HUGE tub like many of its competitors. It comes in two flavors – Chocolate and Vanilla, and can be mixed with water or milk.

IdealShape claims its hunger-curbing abilities come from a patented product called SLENDESTA®, which is the trade name for a protein that comes from potatoes. I was skeptical of this, especially since the marketing of SLENDESTA® includes a claim that potatoes are well-known to be filling. In reality, they aren’t. They also have about 2% protein. BUT the protein in SLENDESTA® is found underneath the skin of the potato, so it’s not as if they are using Hungry Jack in this mix – just the goodies you need.

Because one serving of the mix is 110 calories, I chose to mix it with 1% milk to add extra protein and calories. After all, this is supposed to be my breakfast, and I knew I would be burning a lot more than 100 calories before lunchtime. The choice is yours – with one scoop of this and 8 oz. of 1% milk, I ended up with a good, protein-packed and surprisingly filling breakfast of only 210 calories. MyFitnessPal really likes that, lemme tell ya.

Here’s how the Vanilla shake looks if you decide to be fancy and pour it into a Champagne flute:

I just had A Clockwork Orange moment. Excuse me. Let’s get back to this review.

Now, at my heaviest I weighed more than 270 pounds, and right now I weigh around 202 pounds. So if you think I have not tried a vast assortment of meal replacement shakes, you are SORELY mistaken. I must say, this is the best meal replacement shake I have had. Ever. The vanilla flavor is delicious, the texture is very creamy, and if you follow your shake with a glass of water like the directions say, you will feel surprisingly full. In the first week I was still getting hungry every couple of hours, but now I can easily go four hours between meals. I also find the shake is a great late-night snack to tide me over until breakfast.

Now, let’s go to the IdealBar. I was sent the Strawberry Yogurt flavor, which was surprisingly pretty tasty, since I typically go for the chocolate-flavored meal replacement bars.

Also with SLENDESTA®, this bar is a total of 140 calories. I was only given a week’s supply of these bars, so I was still hungry every couple of hours – but I imagine if I had more bars I probably would have been able to curb my hunger. Since the first week I have been just counting calories and making better choices as normal. If I order these again, I’ll probably get the chocolate-peanut butter flavor.

Now, the big question: Did I lose weight? Well, that is a tough one. In the first week, I saw a small net loss of weight for the first time in nearly two months. I am on week three and I have been able to maintain my weight. I am finding myself with fewer cravings, making better choices, and just feeling full. So, in all, I think this is a great plan. Although my options are always open to new and different meal replacements, right now this is on the top of my list and I will likely make another purchase before this supply runs out.

I definitely, definitely recommend these, and now I want you to try for yourself and let me know what YOU think! So here is the giveaway you have been waiting for! Let’s do this thing! This ends at midnight EST on July 16, and there are ways you can enter every day!
