I’m working with some fellow bloggers in a quest to help build better blogs. We’re all in gear to read Problogger’s 31 Days To Build a Better Blog challenge. One of the tasks we’re all aiming for is to build a mission statement.
Now, in the past few months I’ve experimented with the “Deal Blogger” community. I’ve posted in-store grocery coupons, shared savings at local stores, and come to find out that those things are all best left to other folks.
I have a few areas of specialty. One of those is the ability to use the Web to maximize my savings. I am big on the idea of re-thinking your grocery list. There are plenty of places online where you can purchase non-perishable everyday items – vitamins, OTC medicines, toiletries and even cereal and other shelf groceries. By purchasing these items online through other services, you can receive rewards in the form of gift cards, rebates and even student loan payments. I’ve used lots of these programs over the years to earn gift cards, get cash back and help pay off my student loan.
As I continue to work on this blog, I advise you to pay attention to the “Pay your bills” tab, where I’ll show you programs on the web and even on your smartphone that will help you save money, earn money and get the most out of shopping.
My hope is that when reading my blog, you’ll get into the habit of taking all possible avenues to save money before you shop online. Because going online without using those tools is like heading out into the woods without a flashlight.
I hope you find this site useful and educational about a number of topics; your online shopping experience being one of those.
