Is it Christmas yet? I don’t know about you, but we at Casa del Bellesouth are exhausted. The online and offline shopping, the cloudy skies, the guests – EVERYTHING has had us stressed and tired.
And we still hadn’t put up the tree, so I was sent out on a little journey to the local Murphy USA to pick up some caffiene and snacks to pep us up for the hanging of the greens and reds and bells and bows.
Murphy USA is a tiny gas station and convenience store, usually located outside Walmart Neighborhood Markets and Supercenters. The guy there works in a tiny little kiosk and you can head up there and get gas, snacks and even motor oil when you don’t want to have to wrestle people inside Walmart.
They’re sectioned off, and sometimes you have to play Frogger to get to the beverage section you want, but they do have a decent variety of sodas, energy drinks and even juices.
It’s a great place to run up to if you’re out of a little something but don’t have the time to make a big shopping trip.
I also like that their candy bars are in the refrigerated section, because I prefer to savor a cold or even frozen candy bar over one that’s room temperature or – worse yet – melted in the summer. Yech!
If it’s energy drinks you’re looking for, Murphy’s is the place. Look at this display of Five-Hour energy drinks. You can buy two of ’em for $2.49 plus tax at this particular location. That’s ten hours of energy. For some reason I did not take advantage of this amazing deal, but that’s mostly because I wanted something to drink, and Five-Hour Energy drinks are more like shooters.
This is what I ended up purchasing for $10.17. Not bad, if you ask me.
