I got these red-plaid jammy pants as a hand-me-down a couple of years ago. At the time they fit just fine, but in the past few months as I’ve been on a whimsical journey that I refuse to refer to as a “diet” or “weight loss program,” they’ve decided to completely fall off.
They have fallen off in a way that has defied all hope for me. I put em on, they fall right off. There’s no drawstring so I can’t cinch ’em. The elastic is dead because they’ve gone through the dryer so many times. And I have a smaller and more comfy pair of red plaid jammy pants that suit me just fine. Oh, and then I noticed they had a small rip in the derrier region.
So, since I couldn’t donate the pants, I did the best thing I could think to do:
I cut off one of the legs and made a cute bandanna for Sebastian. Isn’t he adorable? And I’m not just saying that in an “Every mom thinks their pet is adorable” way. I mean, face it. He’s a cutie.
Just so you know, there’s no pattern for this. I simply took a pair of scissors and winged it. I hope to do this to many more pairs of pants and shirts in the future. But we shall see.
