I’m still committed to this one-post-a-day thing here, so I’ll finish off the day with a cool vacation photo.
Summer 1982. This is Boodle, me, Mom and Hocks standing amidst the Rocky Mountains in Colorado during a five-week vacation. My dad was actually taking classes at the time so it kind of qualified as a “Business trip.” Either before or after this photo was taken, Me, Hocks, Boodle and Dad all sat on top of a huge rock that seemed to be on the very top of the world. I have no idea if I was scared or not, but Dad made sure to hold on to me as tight as he could.
That photo is framed right now, so instead you guys get this one.
We took a really long road trip to Denver that year. I remember spilling a can of Mountain Dew in the back of the car and Hocks telling me just to slurp it up. Did I mention that Hocks was absolutely evil?
Those were the days before seat belt and restraint requirements for kids my age at the time. My parents probably would have been blasted all over the Internet today. For us, it was normal.
I also rode an elephant during that vacation. That was awesome.
