Straight Talk Announces Affordable Prepaid Android Device – the $149 Samsung Galaxy Precedent

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Straight Talk for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

This is AWESOME. VERY AWESOME. Straight Talk Wireless has just announced that it’s bringing a bona fide Android smartphone to its selection of prepaid phones. It’s the Samsung Galaxy Precedent, and it’s amazing.

This isn’t just a “smart” phone with an off-brand operating system. This is a real Android smartphone. You will be able to text, swipe, download apps from the Android Marketplace, wear your thumb out on Angry Birds, update your Facebook status… all on a phone that costs $149 and is available with NO CONTRACT.

Even better? You can get unlimited plans for your Samsung Galaxy starting at $45 a month! That’s less than HALF of what you’d pay for the required voice and data plan with contract wireless providers. You still get voice, text and picture messaging and web – with unlimited use.

Here’s a video that demonstrates many of the goodies that come with Android on Straight Talk using the Samsung Galaxy:

If you still aren’t ready for or don’t need a Smartphone, Straight Talk still has plenty of phones and plans to suit your budget. You can get reconditioned phones with an mp3 player and camera for as little as $10, and plenty of other phones are available only from trusted brands like Nokia, LG, Samsung and Motorola.

Here are a couple of Youtube links to check out for more info on Straight Talk:

But I’m telling you, this new Android device is really going to open some doors for bigger and better things from Straight Talk. I am truly very excited about this.

The Straight Talk $30 per month 1000 minute plan has worked very well for me. It is a lot cheaper than the Verizon plan I got rid of. $45 per month for 300 minutes.
