My mom is one of the world’s biggest Scrabble players, and I frequently serve as her official word finder whenever walking by her office.
“Hey, I need a word,” she’ll say. So I’ll offer my services as a second pair of eyes to help her figure out a word that will get the highest score possible. Then Mom’s competitive streak rises and she inevitably says “Thanks! This woman beats me every time!”
It’s not as if I play Words With Friends on Facebook. Ever. It’s not as if I don’t have current games going with my friends. -Cough-
Anyway, while I find the best way to play Scrabble is the “figure out your own words” way, there’s now an embeddable word-finder widget for those times when you are stuck with nothing but consonants, or are on the verge of exchanging letters or clicking “Pass” in hopes that you’ll have better luck on your next turn.
Click here to find the Word Finder Widget Demo & Code. You’ll notice the width is a reasonable 250 pixels, which makes it great to put in your sidebar. It can also be a great tool for drawing traffic to your site. “Hey, Scrabblin’ folk! I have a word-finder widget on my site; bookmark it!”
So there you go! I wish you luck in your games, I hope you manage to intelligently use your tiles and get as many triple-word scores and Bingos as possible!
