Have you seen the ads lately for Untitled Jersey City Project ? It’s a new experiment in television: a work-in-progress television drama.
I’ve started to watch this extremely unique series, and I can tell you: I am curious, I am pulled in, and I really want to know what’s going on.
If you enjoy films like Memento and TV shows like Damages, which basically start right in the midst of some chilling or startling event, chances are you will be pulled into this storyline as well. There is no defined beginning, middle and end to these stories. Yet, when you watch them, you immediately want to put the pieces of the story together.

Here’s some info about the show from F/X and Studio Progress films:
The story is set amidst the fast-developing Jersey City waterfront, just across the river from Manhattan. A shining new city is being built on the edge of this gritty town. But while the glass office towers and condos are sleek and new, the rules of the game haven’t changed one bit.
Everyone here has something to gain – money, fame, power. Or they can lose big. Or they could end up dead.
These short episodes, all of which comprise about 20 minutes, are like watching teaser-trailers in the movie theater. Who are these people? What is their story? How are all these characters linked to one another?
F/X has been known for presenting unprecedented and groundbreaking concepts in original programming, and Untitled Jersey City Project seems to continue this trend, and take it even further.
I look forward to seeing the pieces of this series come together. The buzz about this show is legitimate.
From what you’ve seen or read about Untitled Jersey City Project, what do you think? Do you find this project to be unique? Confusing? Exciting? Dull?
