I feel that as a lifelong Southerner and resident of the Arklahoma portion of the country, I’ve spent a lifetime missing out on one of the nearest and dearest traditions of Americans: The Rodeo.
I just found out today that the National Finals Rodeo is held each year in Las Vegas. I’ve never been to Las Vegas, and what better way to mark a trip?
Nah, not a wedding – been done. Not to see Celine Dion. She’s Celine Dion. But to go to Vegas to see the best cattle-herding sport out there.
To see guys, decked out in all their glory, thrown off of horses and get the snot beat out of them.
Team One Tickets is currently selling NFR Tickets for Dec. 2-11 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The site even includes a map of the venue and there are tons of seats still available. Now, tickets for one show can range in between $100 and $1500, depending on which night you go and which section of the venue you pick. Considering it’s the world series of rodeo, I think those are pretty dang good prices.
Unfortunately, I don’t think my first trip to Vegas – if I ever make it – will be for the NFR. But if anyone makes it there I wanna hear all about it!
