I love my jeans. When I had a regular 8-5 job, I was the gal who made every excuse to wear jeans to work as possible. Jeans are comfy, they have pockets (unlike a LOT of women’s pants – ugh), they’re durable and great for day or night.
I also have joined many of my female friends in finding ways to save my jeans from destruction. Recently I had an America’s Next Top Wooliteer drop-in in which I shared with some of my favorite gal-pals the amazingness of Woolite Extra Dark Care – a detergent that is made to actually keep the life in your dark clothes!
In fact, I just had a moment of silence for all the clothes I lost. Sweaters, comfy tees, once-colorful blouses.
All tried to salvage, and all gone because of harsh detergents! So my fellow fashionistas were just as excited about Woolite as I was!
Stephanie No. 1 here posed with a declaration of her love for jeans. As a single mom with two kids AND a very Busy and Important job that requires her to go on schmancy business trips, keeping clothes lasting a long time is important. And because she does have to wear schmancy clothes at her Busy and Important job, being comfortable in her jeans is important, too.
In my defense, I will say that even though she lives next door, she grows about three more inches every time I see her so it’s hard to keep up!
Katie’s mom, Tammi, just got a brand-new wardrobe to match her brand-new and smaller body, so I hope Woolite Extra-Dark Care will help her preserve her new wardrobe!
I told Katie to have someone else – Not her mom – do her laundry for her. Not because I don’t think Katie can do laundry, but because I want to teach her the ways of getting someone else to do stuff for you. I’m corruptive like that!
Last, but certainly not least, we have the beloved Stephanie No. 2, whom I’ve known since college and started teaching me many of the obnoxious ways to preserve the color in your jeans! Wash in cold! Turn inside out! Don’t put them in the dryer! Don’t wash them! (Okay, she didn’t tell me that tip, but I’ve actually heard it from people!) Stephanie was unable to attend my drop-in so I caught her outside our local shopping mall, where she struck a very lovely pose while showing off her samples of Woolite Extra Dark Care. Steph said this would be perfect for a new pair of jeans she just got. There are few people who can pull off a pair of jeans the way Stephanie can, so I hope Woolite does well for her!
So, what do you do to preserve your jeans? Have any tips to share? Do you think Woolite Extra Dark Care could make your jeans last a bit longer? Would love to read your thoughts!
Woolite sent me samples and product to share at a sponsored event. I was under no obligation to write a post about this event in my blog. All opinions are my own.
